Canon Picturing a Sustainable Future
Sustainable World

CO2 Reduction

We aim to achieve carbon net zero emissions by 2050 in line with the Paris Agreement. This involves consistent action across our entire business from operations, manufacturing and transportation to product design and packaging.

We have set near term goals for 2030 and have submitted these to SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) for transparency and verification.

Circular Business

Our ambition is to become a circular business. Where every single product and material is designed, created, reused, repaired, and recycled in a closed loop.

Through innovative manufacturing we design out waste and help keep our products and materials in use for longer.

Educational and youth programmes

Young people deserve and need to have a voice in shaping the future of our world.

We empower young people to share their story through imaging in collaboration with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and with the support of our Canon Ambassadors as programme delivery partners.

Supporting local communities

Our sustainability activities also focus on initiatives to help create positive social and environmental impact on our local communities.
