In just 60 days, the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) and Canon empowered 25 women in the UAE with advanced skills in visual storytelling through their "Women Who Empower" program. This intensive course, covering printing, photography, and content creation, culminated in a vibrant exhibition at Dubai Chamber. The event showcased the participants' creativity and achievements, reflecting the program's success in promoting women's empowerment and professional development in the imaging industry.
Skill, Creativity, Empowerment: A New Chapter for Women in the UAE
The "Women Who Empower" initiative featured a comprehensive curriculum divided into three impactful modules: Printing, photography, and content creation. The printing module, led by Ayman Ali, Marketing Director, B2B, Canon Middle East, immersed participants in the latest print workflows, emerging trends, and market insights, ensuring they mastered cutting-edge techniques and solutions. The photography module, conducted by renowned sport and commercial photographer Jorge Ferrari, provided hands-on training from pre- to post-production, enhancing the participants' abilities to capture and process high-quality images. The content creation module, spearheaded by award-winning Emirati film director Nahla Al Fahad, delved into the art of creating compelling video narratives, empowering women to harness their storytelling potential. Each module was designed to equip the participants with specialised skills and knowledge, fostering their growth and creativity in the print and imaging sectors.
