The Speedlite EL-5 cannot be mounted to a camera with a standard 5-pin hot-shoe, but can be controlled from Speedlite EX-series compatible EOS cameras wirelessly instead by using a compatible wireless Speedlite transmitter (e.g. the ST-E3-RT (Ver.2)) or a compatible RT Speedlite with Radio Transmitter capability (e.g. EL-1, 600EX RT-II, 430EX RT-III).
